Satpura Extension Tour
3 Nights / 4 Days
Trip Highlights
Satpura Tiger Reserve (Madhya Pradesh, Central India) is a breathtakingly beautiful and under-visited gem spanning 2,200 sq km of rugged Satpura hills. Nestled beneath the Pachmarhi plateau, it is named after the Satpura (“seven folds”) mountain range and is part of the largest central Indian tiger landscape.
Unlike most Indian parks, Satpura uniquely allows walking safaris inside the core zone, canoe trips on the Denwa River, night drives in the buffer, and jeep safaris—offering the most varied wildlife experiences in the country.
The dramatic landscape of deep gorges, sandstone cliffs, perennial streams, and dense teak-bamboo forests feels raw and untouched.
Species In Focus
Leopard, Sloth Bear, Indian Wild Dog (Dhole), Rusty-spotted Cat, Indian Giant Squirrel, Giant Flying Squirrel, Honey Badger, Indian Gaur, Crocodiles, Otters, Malabar Giant Squirrel and over 300 bird species.
