Trip Highlights

Extension Tour in India

Jim Corbett National Park, in Uttarakhand’s Himalayan foothills, is India’s oldest national park (established 1936) and the birthplace of Project Tiger (1973). Spread over 1,318 sq km, it is renowned for one of the highest tiger densities in the world (250+ tigers), large Asiatic elephant herds, leopards, sloth bears, and over 600 bird species.
The landscape is stunning: dense sal forests, sprawling grasslands (chaurs), the Ramganga River, and rugged hills with distant Himalayan views. Popular safari zones include Dhikala (iconic grasslands, overnight stays inside the core area), Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhela, and Durga Devi.
Named after the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett, whose books like Man-Eaters of Kumaon made the region famous, the park offers dramatic scenery and excellent wildlife sightings. Just 5–6 hours from Delhi, it remains the most accessible and rewarding tiger destination in northern India.

Species In Focus
Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Elephant, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Hog Deer, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Otter, Crocodile, Python, and over 600 bird species.
